Aaron Rodgers tied Peyton Manning for third on the NFL career touchdown pass list at 539 as the Steelers rallied past the Buccaneers in overtime on Sunday.

By the numbers: Rodgers finished 33 of 49 for 253 yards and two touchdowns. Only Tom Brady at 649 and Drew Brees at 571 have thrown more than his 539.

Zoom in: Pittsburgh trailed 16-3 entering the fourth quarter. Rodgers led four fourth-quarter scoring drives, then capped a 12-play, 70-yard march with a 7-yard throw to Germie Bernard for the lead with 3:15 left in overtime.

  • Jalen Ramsey sacked Bucs rookie Jalon Daniels on fourth down for an 11-yard loss to end it. Daniels threw two fourth-quarter interceptions and finished 22 of 43 for 164 yards.

What they're saying: "These are the most important moments for us as a team to grow. This is a trajectory win," said Rodgers, a four-time NFL MVP, after Pittsburgh's first road win of the season.

  • DK Metcalf caught 11 passes for 93 yards on 15 targets, a week after a season-low four targets. "Once we got DK involved, the offense shifted," Rodgers said.

The other side: All five Tampa Bay losses have come by seven points or fewer. "We feel like we gave that one to them," receiver Emeka Egbuka said, and coach Todd Bowles added, "We've got to be able to finish games."

Why it matters: Rodgers is 42 and two scores from passing Brees for second all time, which puts a record most fans assumed was settled back in play this season.

What's next: Pittsburgh moves to 4-2 and Tampa Bay falls to 1-5. Steelers coach Mike McCarthy spent halftime in the injury tent with a sore ankle after being stepped on along the sideline.
