Good Morning. Wall Street’s verdict on Tuesday: the Dow’s best day since April 2025 , with oil under $90 and a viral night-sky photo that took 45 hours and still got called AI.

After the Sweep
Speaker Mike Johnson told staff he won’t stay on as House Republican leader , and the party picks a successor Nov. 10. Democrats hold 54 Senate seats so far, with Alaska’s race still being counted .
Vice President JD Vance pinned the losses on the Iran war , posting, “The reason we lost is the war.” President Trump has asked advisers whether Pete Hegseth should stay at the Pentagon, sources say. Others say he hasn’t decided.
Hakeem Jeffries asked colleagues Wednesday to back him for speaker when the new Congress arrives in January. Watch for Nov. 10, when House Republicans choose their leader.

The Dow’s Day
The Dow jumped 1,569 points, or 3% , Wednesday, its best day since April 2025 and biggest post-midterm gain since 1982. It comes as US crude fell 8.3% to $88.12 , on bets the sweep nudges Washington toward an Iran deal.
Trump Media fell 24.5% and Nvidia 3.2% , while Tesla lost 3.3% and SpaceX 3.8%. Lockheed Martin dropped 6.9% on the Iran bets, and oil has now fallen more than 14% this week.
A gallon of gas still averages $4.10 nationally (see your state) . That said, one energy trader says the oil selloff could be getting a bit overdone. The big question: whether Washington and Tehran actually reach a deal.
Real, Not AI
A New Zealand photographer is fighting claims that his viral night-sky photo is AI . Brendan Larsen’s image shows about 1,400 satellites, and 14,000 trails, crisscrossing the sky above Mount Taranaki.
The trick was patience. He left his camera running for two hours in September, shooting 578 eight-second frames. Then came about 45 hours in Photoshop, layering them and erasing stars until only satellites remained.
Expecting the backlash, he filmed the whole process. Larsen shoots real night-sky events over that mountain , and about 16,000 working satellites now circle Earth.

Poor Sleep Quietly Takes 5 Years Off Your Life. Melatonin Isn’t the Fix.
Long-term poor sleep can shave nearly five years off your lifespan and raise heart attack risk by up to 55 percent. Yet the default fixes have problems most people never hear about: melatonin causes nightmares, and Ambien is being studied for links to early-onset dementia.
A TribeTokes co-founder was a lifelong insomniac herself, so she built a four-ingredient gummy (CBN, CBD, B6, L-Tryptophan) that supports your body’s own melatonin production instead of replacing it. 343 verified reviews mention better sleep . No grogginess. No dependency.
Every order right now ships with a free CBD/CBN Sleep Gummy.

Bill Murray’s 1-800 Number
Bill Murray has no agent, no manager and no publicist. He was so bad at returning calls that he reportedly missed Who Framed Roger Rabbit and The People vs. Larry Flynt . His fix, around 2000: an unlisted 1-800 number with a voicemail he checks when he feels like it. St. Vincent director Ted Melfi left messages for weeks, then called Murray’s lawyer, who asked if he’d tried the 1-800 number.
Steal a little of it tonight: let every call go to voicemail, then call back whoever you feel like.

Johnny Cash’s 10-Item To-Do List
Nobody knows exactly when he wrote it, but his handwritten “Things to do today” opens like this: “Not smoke. Kiss June. Not kiss anyone else. Cough. Pee.” Further down, he made time to worry. At auction in 2010, it sold for more than $6,000, against an estimate of $300 to $500.

The 3 Skills Gyms Say New Trainers Are Missing
Plenty of people want to coach. Gyms say too many arrive certified but unprepared, missing the skills that keep a trainer employed : finding clients, keeping them and selling with confidence.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects 7% job growth for trainers from 2025 to 2035, and in ISSA’s March survey, 94% of gym partners said they’d use a platform of job-ready trainers .
The revised ISSA Certified Personal Trainer course has students practice on simulated clients first, and most finish in about 12 weeks. Every CPT offer has a job guarantee (get hired after certification or your money back, for U.S.-based students who meet basic requirements).
